An open community

Firmly grounded in tradition

The community of those who practice the Buddha-Way is called “sangha”.

Ryokuinzan Kōsetsu-ji

This name, which means “in the shadow of a green mountain, the temple of luminous snow”, refers to the Zen temple of the Soto school set up in 2009 at the gateway to the Brévine valley.

Every weekend, the temple welcomes all those interested in the practice of Zen meditation (zazen) and who aspire to rediscover true simplicity.

Teachings are given by Zen master Jikō Simone Wolf and senior disciples.

It is possible to participate in zazen and daily sangha activities.
The temple can also provide accommodation for those wishing to stay for the weekend.

Kobokudo

The Centre Zen de La Chaux-de-Fonds, founded in 1982 by Jiko Simone Wolf and located in the town center, comprises a zendo (dojo), a store, part of the secretariat and premises occupied by practitioners.
It offers zazen practice from Tuesday to Saturday.
The boutique overlooks the pedestrian street and sells articles related to Zen practice and Japanese culture. Interested parties can also find all the information they need on the activities of the center and the temple. The store is open Tuesday to Saturday afternoons.
